QuickPort
®
Shutters
DESCRIPTION
Leviton's easy-to-use QuickPort Shutters are compatible
with any Leviton Category 5, Category 5e or Category 6
connector and feature a unique, hinged door that protects
against dust and contamination. The Shutters come with a
variety of icons for easy port identification.
INSTALLATION
1. Wire the connector according to that connector's
installation procedure.
2. Align the connector port corners with the corresponding
alignment features on the Shutter door. Press the
Shutter door flush against connector until it snaps into
place. (Figure 1)
3. Snap terminated connector and attached Shutter into
faceplate. (Figure 2)
4. To open the Shutter, use a fingernail or screwdriver to
lift the bottom edge of the Shutter. Press to close the
shutter.
LABELING
The QuickPort Shutter includes a clear window and labels
featuring a variety of port identification icons. Leviton
recommends labeling after complete assembly, but the label
can be applied at any time.

NOTE: Window accommodates 0.50˝W x .375˝H labels.
1. Insert notched edge (A) of the identification window into
the Shutter's recessed area (B), then flex the window
and repeat with edges C and D. (Figure 3)
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Read and understand all instructions. Follow all warnings
and instructions marked on the product.
2.
Do not use this product near water—e.g., near a tub, wash
basin, kitchen sink or laundry tub, in a wet basement, or
near a swimming pool.
3.
Never push objects of any kind into this product through
openings, as they may touch dangerous voltages.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
SAFETY INFORMATION
1.
Never install communications wiring or components during
a lightning storm.
2.
Never install communications components in wet locations
unless the components are designed specifically for use in
wet locations.
3.
Never touch uninsulated wires or terminals unless the
wiring has been disconnected at the network interface.
4.
Use caution when installing or modifying communications
wiring or components.
5.
To prevent electrical shock, each opening must be filled with a
