3. Belt-adjustment knob
WARNING
Always remove the battery from the sander before
making any adjustment.
• When the sander belt (J) is correctly attached,
the sander belt will remain centered and will
smoothly run over the rollers. Rotating the belt-
adjustment knob (G) to adjust it as necessary
and as described below.
• Rotating the belt-adjustment knob counter-
clockwise will cause the roller to tilt toward the
bottom plate. The sander belt will now travel
away from the sander.
• Rotating the belt-adjustment knob clockwise will cause the roller to tilt toward the front of the
machine. The sander belt will now travel toward the sander.
• The sander belt is properly aligned if, when turned ON, the sander belt does not slip off
roller.
4. ON/OFF Switch
a. To turn the belt sander on, depress the
ON/OFF trigger switch (B).
b. To turn it off, release the ON/OFF trigger
switch.
Lock-ON button
The tool is also equipped with a lock-on button
(A) that allows continuous operation without
continually holding the ON/OFF trigger switch.
• To lock switch "ON": Squeeze the ON/OFF
trigger switch, depress the lock-on button, and
release the ON/OFF trigger switch.
• To unlock switch: Squeeze the ON/OFF trigger
switch, then release the ON/OFF trigger switch without depressing the lock-on button.
• The belt sander is equipped with an electric brake. When the ON/OFF trigger switch is
released, the electric brake engages automatically to quickly stop rotation.
5. Variable-Speed Dial
Adjust the sanding speed with the variable-speed
dial (C).
Turn the dial between "1" for the lowest speed and
"6" for the highest speed.
WARNING
• Never change the speed while the tool is
running. Failure to obey this caution could make
you lose the tool control and result in serious
personal damage.
