Watts hydro-mechanical interceptors facilitate FOG separation by slowing and ex-
tending the wastewater flow path. As effluent passes through the interceptor, lighter
than water FOG is accumulated at the top of the interceptor above the static water
line for later removal.

Function
Watts GL, GP, WD, WD-H, WD-L, WD-CSA, and WD-100-L-CSA Series hydro-me-
chanical grease interceptors are designed for installation in commercial kitchens
and food preparation areas.

Placement & Installation
Grease interceptors should be installed as close as practical to the fixture(s) being
served. Do not connect garbage grinder waste lines through the grease interceptor,
as the volume of solid matter will quickly reduce the efficiency and operation of the
interceptor.
GL, GP, WD, WD-L, WD-CSA, and WD-100-L-CSA Series interceptors can be
installed on the floor or recessed in a minimum 4" concrete slab. Recessed installa-
tions may require an extension to meet the below grade piping (see Extensions).
