2-4. Loosen adjustment knob (B) on both
sides of the unit and move the handlebar up or down
until notches (C) on both sides align, and tighten both
adjustment knobs. This puts the handlebar at a com-
fortable position for most people.
NOTE: It is important to find a handlebar height that
allows the Mow-Ball to comfortably hover just above the
ground. Different handlebar heights may be required for
different mowing conditions.
3. For other handlebar height settings, loosen the
adjustment knobs, move the handlebar up or down
to the desired height, then tighten the adjustment
knobs securely.
NOTE: When adjusting the handlebars, note how many
teeth have moved away from the aligned notches to align
both sides.

Cutting Cords
WARNING
Personal injury. Never run the trimmer with only one cord
installed, cords of unequal length, or cords installed at other
than 180° apart. Doing so can result in personal injury,
equipment, or property damage.
NOTE: Never install more than two cords at a time. Add-
ing additional cords creates drag on the trimmer head,
robs the engine of power, and may cause wrapping.
The Generac Trimmer/Mower ships with two thicknesses
of cutting cord. The blue cord is 175-mil and the green
cord is 155-mil.
•
Use the smallest diameter cord capable of cutting
the material at hand combined with the fastest
engine speed for best grass trimming performance.
•
Use the blue 175-mil cord in combination with the
highest engine speed for thicker growth such as
berry canes, brambles, thistles, or ragweed.
•
Experiment with different cord weights (diameters)
to discover what works best for your mowing and
trimming situations.
•
Cut cords bought in rolls to 25 in (63.5 cm) lengths.
Cut the ends at an angle so they will be easier to
install.
