HEINE Hand-held Indirect Ophthalmoscope

reference.
Intended Use
The HEINE Hand-held Indirect Ophthalmoscope is intended to examine media
(cornea, aqueous humor, lens, vitreous body) and the retina of the eye. The devices
contain viewing optics and a battery-powered illumination unit. It should only be
operated by qualified medical personnel within a professional healthcare facility.

Setting up
To set up the instrument, plug the instrument head on the HEINE handle (14).
Operation
Switch the illumination on, push the sleeve (5) down as far as it will go and illuminate
a white surface from a distance of approx. 50 cm. The size of the illuminated area can
be continuously adjusted by turning the sleeve (5). To switch on the red-free filter, push
the sleeve (5) up to the green marking (4).
