USING YOUR EUROSTEAM
®
IRON
Water in your boiler? This is normal as each Eurosteam
®
Evolution Iron is
factory tested for quality purposes.
TO
START
Before you use your iron for the very fi rst time you will need to prime the unit to ensure
that your Eurosteam iron is in optimal working order. You will only need to perform this
procedure once, prior to its fi rst use.
Fill your measuring cup to just slightly below the max line and, using funnel, fi ll your boiler tank.
Screw on your safety cap and make sure that your steam dial is turned all the way off (turn counter
clockwise). Plug unit in, switch on and wait for ready light to turn off. Holding iron turn steam dial all
the way on (turn
clockwise). Keep holding unit and allow full tank of steam to run out of iron. When
completed let unit cool completely. Now you are ready to enjoy Eurosteam
®
ironing.
1. Water
The Eurosteam® Iron is designed to use regular tap water. Never use 100% distilled water
as this may lead to damage inside the boiler.
About Softened Water and Well Water
Many types of water contain naturally high levels of sodium, iron, mineral and organic mat-
ter. If these collect inside the boiler it can eventually appear as brown stains or can cause
your Eurosteam® to spit during use. If you experience this type of problem you should try
using inexpensive bottled spring water.
Never use water that has any additives such as starch, perfume or fabric conditioner. The
additives can affect the boiler, at high temperatures deposits can form and emit stains and
cause blockage of the steam vents.
2. Filling Water/Boiler Tank
Fill water tank while the Eurosteam® is unplugged and cool. Place your Tefl on pad on a
stable surface with the Eurosteam® on top. Using measuring cup (210cc) and funnel, fi ll
your water/boiler tank and place safety cap in position and tightened, by turning until it stops
and then tighten slightly without applying too much pressure to avoid breaking the O-ring.
If unit is over fi lled water may leak and/or spurt from the iron plate at the beginning of the
ironing session.
At the end of every use be sure to drain the boiler by letting all steam out. Turn your steam
dial all the way on (turn clockwise) and wait until steaming has stopped, power off, unplug
and wait for unit to cool. Remove safety cap and hold upside down to drain any remaining
water. Store in a safe place with safety cap off, allowing the boiler to breathe.
