Troubleshooting

Problem
Unit will not light, no apparent
grid voltage.
Unit appears to be working properly
but insect population does not seem
reduced.
Unit is constantly arcing (sparking).
Unit does not make a zapping sound
or spark.
Solution
Make sure the unit is
plugged into working
outlet.
Check bulb to make sure it
is seated properly. Replace
bulb if necessary.
Check surrounding area
for sitting water. Insects
breed in these areas and
should be eliminated at the
source.
Allow more time. It will
take some time for insects
to find the unit and also for
there to be an impact on
their reproductive cycle.
Try moving the unit to
another area of the yard.
If you are between the
unit and and the source
of the insects, they will
have to fly by you to get
to the unit and you may
actually notice an increase
in insects.
Clean the unit per the instructions in
this manual . The unit will arc upon
plug-in and then stabilize. This is
normal.
This insect killer is silent. You will not
hear a zap or see a spark, but rest
assured your unit is working.
