USING THE FRUIT/VEGETABLE STRAINER
ATTACHMENT
FRUIT/VEGETABLE STRAINER ATTACHMENT CHART
NOTE: None of the parts and accessories of this KitchenAid
attachment (model KSMFVSP) are compatible with the parts and accessories of the
KitchenAid
®
Metal Food Grinder attachment (model KSMMGA) or previous KitchenAid
Grinder attachment (model FGA) and vice versa.
USE THESE PARTS
Strainer Cone, Strainer
Shield and Splash Lid
To strain fruits and vegetables:
• Cut into pieces that will fit into hopper.
• Remove tough, thick skin or rind, such as oranges.
• Remove all large pits from fruits and vegetables such as peaches.
• Remove hulls or stems, such as strawberries or grapes.
• Cook all tough or firm fruits and vegetables before straining.
NOTE: To avoid damage to the Fruit/Vegetable Strainer attachment and/or the Stand Mixer,
Labruscan or slip-skin type grapes such as Concord, Catawba, and Ontario grapes should not
be processed in the Fruit/Vegetable Strainer. Only Ninifera family grapes such as Tokay and
Thompson Seedless may be processed.
ASSEMBLING THE FRUIT/VEGETABLE STRAINER ATTACHMENT
Remove and discard all promotional labels and packing materials attached to product. Before
using Fruit/Vegetable Strainer attachment for the first time, wash all parts in warm, soapy
water (see "Care and Cleaning" section). Rinse parts and wipe dry.

WITH THESE
PARTS
Long Grind Screw
and Collar
Slide the smaller spring end of the Shaft Assembly
into the opening on the Large Grind Screw until it is
secured firmly in place.
Insert the Long Grind Screw into the Main Housing.
Place the Strainer Cone over the end of the Long
Grind Screw matching the notch of the Strainer Cone
Tab
with the tab on the bottom of the Main Housing.
