INDICATION FOR USE

• Mild to severe ligament laxity, sprain or deficiency
• Protection and stabilization of ligaments after surgical repair or
reconstruction
APPLyING THE BRACE
To fasten the brace straps, pass the straps through the D-Rings, pull to
tighten and attach the straps back onto themselves.
To Start:
Always loosen the ATS Strap before affixing your brace. This allows you
to set the brace position properly. With your knee bent at approximately
90 degrees (Figure 2), align the brace such that the patella is centered
between the condyle pads. This places the hinge slightly above the joint
line so the brace can properly seat itself when you stand.
Strap Sequence:
1.
Secure the Upper Calf Strap first (Figure 2). Fasten this strap tight
enough to secure the brace position. The Upper Calf Pad should
rest on the top of the calf muscle.
2.
Fasten the Lower Calf Strap (Figure 3).
3.
Fasten the Lower Thigh Strap (Figure 4).
4.
Fasten the Upper Thigh Strap (Figure 5).
5.
Holding the hinge in place with one hand, tighten the ATS strap
(Figure 6).
6.
Walk and move around to allow the brace to settle into position.
When positioned correctly, the middle of the hinges will be centered
on the knee when viewed from the front of the brace. If necessary,
re-adjust the straps in the same order as they were applied.
Note! The ATS strap needs to be adjusted so the center of the hinges
rest slightly behind the midline of the knee.
