Maintenance and repair
Dangerous Electrical Voltage
Possibility of cardiac arrhythmia, burns, shock!
Unless described otherwise, maintenance work must be
performed on inactive systems that have been sufficiently
protected against reclosing!
Measuring or test activities that might be necessary on the live
system are reserved to qualified electrical personnel!
Use suitable, insulated tools for all work on electrically
conductive parts.
Please note that the voltage inside the unit directly after
switching off the mains supply has not been reduced to a
harmless level yet.
Before working on the primary connection of the welding
transformer, the inverter must be de-energized and its DC link
must have been discharged. When the inverter power supply
has been switched off, you should therefore wait for at least 5
minutes before working on the primary circuit.
Use suitable measuring equipment and an appropriate
measuring method to ensure that the respective unit is de-
energized before carrying out any work on the unit.
Employing unqualified personnel
Possibility of reduction of safety of persons/systems, function
disturbances/restrictions!
Make sure that repair and maintenance work is performed by
our service or corresponding authorized repair or service points
only!
High dynamic forces and extremely fast movements
Danger of impacts, bruises, entanglement and burns!
You should always be aware of the possibility that motions can
be triggered by faults of the system and behave with the
appropriate care and sense of responsibility.
Always stay outside the danger area of the welding system
when it is running!
Do not ever deactivate any safety–relevant functions!
Robots and fixing elements may generate very high dynamic forces
and extremely fast movements. In addition, expulsion may occur
during a welding schedule.
Non-approved spare parts
Possibility of reduction of safety of persons/systems, function
disturbances/restrictions!
Only use spare parts approved by us.
NOTICE
Plugging or unplugging modules or connectors/terminals into/from
live systems
Possibility of damage to the electrical equipment, unexpected plant
reactions!
Unless described otherwise, never unplug or plug any
connectors/terminals on live systems.
Non-approved spare parts
Possibility of function disturbances/restrictions!
Only use spare parts approved by us.

WARNING
Dismantling and replacement
Dangerous electrical voltage
Possibility of cardiac arrhythmia, burns, shock!
The electrical connection may only be made by a skilled
electrician who observes the valid safety regulations, the mains
voltage and the maximum current consumption of the plant
sections.
Use suitable, insulated tools for all electrical connection work.
Please note that the voltage inside the unit of the controlling
electronic system directly after switching off the mains supply
has not been reduced to a harmless level yet. Before working
on the primary connection of the welding transformer, the
inverter must be de-energized and its DC link must have been
discharged. When the inverter power supply has been switched
off, you should therefore wait for at least 5 minutes before
working on the primary circuit.
Use suitable measuring equipment and an appropriate
measuring method to ensure that the respective unit is de-
energized before carrying out any work on the unit.
CAUTION
Heavy loads and sharp metal edges
Higher risk of injuries through lifting of excessive weights, bruises or
cutting!
When you plan and perform the work, please always note the
weight of the product (refer to the technical data in the
Operating Instructions for the product) and use appropriate
hoisting and transportation equipment, if necessary.
Wear appropriate working clothes and use suitable protective
equipment (e.g. protective helmet/shoes, protective gloves).
Obligations of the operator
The operator is responsible for the system. Therefore he has to
ensure that the system is operated according to its intended use,
provide regular training to the operating personnel,
provide signals of existing dangers that are clearly visible and
unambiguous to all persons,
comply with the safety regulations and provisions of the country
where the device is employed,
check the suitability of the delivered components for his individual
application and check the information provided in this
documentation on their use,
coordinate the safety regulations and standards applicable to his
application and perform the necessary measures, changes,
supplements,
ensure that the delivered components are only commissioned
when the machine or system, incl. the delivered components are
in accordance with the country-specific provisions, safety
regulations and standards of the application.
