Water Resistance

Your Meccaniche Veloci watch is water-resistant up to 5 bar. Its water resistance can be
identified by the engraving on the case-back. Your model has been tested at an overpressure
of 5 bar, corresponding to an immersion pressure of 50 metres (1 bar = approx. 10 metres).
Water resistance may be affected by certain activities.
In accordance with the ISO 22810/NIHS 92-20 standard, in order to guarantee the durability of
the watch characteristics over time, it is recommended that the user:
• have the water resistance checked by a Meccaniche Veloci authorised dealer at least once
every two years. It is crucial to have such a check carried out each time your watch is opened;
• avoid subjecting the watch to excessively abrupt temperature changes;
• protect the watch from being dropped or from suffering other accidental impacts and have
the water resistance checked after any violent impact;
• avoid the use of the time-setting crown while under water, or outside the water if the watch
is not yet dry after immersion;
• screw every crown back to position 0 after every manipulation;
• rinse the watch with fresh water after use in the sea or salted water.
You may use your watch during short swims and when jumping in from the edge of a swimming
pool, but not from a diving board. It must not be used for scuba diving or for sports involving
significant risk of impact, such as windsurfing or water skiing.
Please, note that leather straps are not suited for aquatic activities.
