6. Remove heat shield – using an 8mm socket remove (4) screws and
a 10mm socket, remove (3) hex nuts from rear heat shield.
8. Hitch installation – raise hitch and bumper beam into position
aligning holes with studs in the end panel. Sandwich the hitch
between bumper beam and end panel.
9. Reinstall fasteners - Loosely reinstall the existing (4) M12 hex
flange nuts onto the studs, (2) per side.

7. Trim heat shield – using a tape measure, marker, & tin snips, mark
& trim rear heat shield as shown in figure 2.

10. Tighten all M12 fasteners with torque wrench to
68 Lb.-Ft. (92 N*M)
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when
towing.
