A. Application and operation
The KEMPER Filter-Table is designed for the extraction of pollutants produced
during various electrical welding processes. In general the Filter-Table can be used in
all working processes in which particle from pollutants, such as smoke and dust, are
released. The Filter-Table is however not suitable for work where a many sparks
may be produced, e.g. in heavy grinding work.
The pollutants that are released during the working processes are captured by the
extraction table and conveyed in the air stream to the filter area of the table. Here the
coarse particles are captured in an aluminium weave pre-filter. The very fine smoke
particles are then isolated in the following main filter. Optionally an active coal filter may
be used which would absorb the gaseous pollutants. The purified air is then sucked in by
a fasituated in the bottom section of the Filter-Table and then returned to the working area
by means of an exhaust opening in the back of the table.
B. Safety instructions
Attention!
When using electrical appliances the following basic safety measures must be followed
to prevent shock, injury or fire. Before using the Filter-Table please read the whole of the
operating manual and ensure that you have understood all parts of the manual.
Read and comply with these notices before you use the filter unit.
• Keep these operating and maintenance instructions in a safe and attainable place.
• Protect the power cable from heat, oil and sharp edges.
• The power cable is to be examined regularly for signs of damage.
• Do not use the filter unit if the power cable is damaged in any way.
• Pay attention to the correct connection voltage.
• Disconnect the power supply before opening the Filter-Table.
• Also disconnect the Filter-Table from the power supply for cleaning and maintenance
work as well as when exchanging any part of the Filter-Table.
• Comply with the information on the specification plate.
• Always ensure that the Filter-Table stands securely.
• Protect the Filter-Table from water and moisture.
• Check the Filter-Table regularly for damage.
• Use only genuine spare parts.
• Do not use the Filter-Table if one or more parts of the unit are damaged or missing.
• Do not insert any objects (e.g. welding rods) into the exhaust vents.
• The exhaust vents should be free of obstruction at all times.
• The Filter-Table should not be used if the filter elements are missing or damaged.
Pollution of the clean air leads to poor health and severe damage to the fan.
