A domestic water installation classified the tank water as category 2.
Classification of the difference categories of stored water, as per EN 1717:
Category 1: Water destined for human consumption, coming directly from a drinking water
distribution network.
Category 2: Fluid that does not represent any risk to human health. Fluid recognized as valid for
human consumption, in particular water taken from a drinking water system that may be impaired
in term of taste, odour, colour and temperature.
Category 3: Fluid that represent a certain rick to human health due to the presence of one or more
harmful substances.
Category 4: Fluid that represents a certain rick to human health due to the presence of one or
more toxic or very toxic substances, or one or more radioactive, mutagenic or cancerous
substances.
Category 5: Fluid that represents a risk to human health due to the presence of microbiological or
viral system.

2.2 Technical features

The NBB device can supply water to a maximum of two homes at once.
The tank incorporates an overflowoutlet, to prevent possible contamination of drinking water from
the public network in the event of backflow, in compliance with European regulation EN1717
"Protection against contamination of drinking water installation and general requisites for devices to
avoid contamination by reflux". AB type protection is provided, allowing us to use the equipment in
installation with fluids up to category 5.
The equipment also incorporates a drainage connection system with air vent, as for the
requirements of regulation EN1717.
