Operating Instructions

Assembly and Installation

Disconnect, tag and
lock out power source,
then release all pressure from the system
before attempting to install, service, relocate
or perform any maintenance.
1. Confirm there is no pressure in the air
tank and the electric power has been
turned off, locked and tagged.
2. Remove existing 3/8 inch drain cock
from bottom of tank.
3. Install 3/8 inch NPT x 1/4 inch NPT
reducer.
4. Install 1/4 inch NPT street elbow.
NOTE: Not all tank models use the
reducer (Item number 2). Position
reducer and insert into tank. If reducer is
too large and cannot fit into the opening,
your model does not require the reducer.
DO NOT FORCE REDUCER OR ALTER
OPENING.
5. Install 1/4 inch NPT x 8 inch pipe
nipple.
NOTE: Thread sealant tape should be
used on all threaded connections.
6. Verify direction of water and air flow
through the valve and install with the
inlet side nearest to the tank.
Install Automatic valve confirming
direction of air and water flow.
7. Plug in to 120 volt outlet.
8. Perform manual test to verify
operation.
9. Adjust cycle time to the middle of each
scale. Monitor periodically during use
and adjust cycle so that all the water is
drained from the tank and a minimum
of compressed air is vented.
NOTE: Any tubing or hose connected
to the outlet of the drain valve must
be secured to not allow uncontrolled
movement during operation.
