OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. JUMP STARTING
1.1 Turn the ignition off before making cable connections.
1.2 Make sure the power switch is on the OFF position until clamps are connected to
the vehicle battery.
1.3 Connect the POSITIVE (RED) clamp to the POSITIVE (POS, P, +) ungrounded post of
battery.
1.4 Connect the NEGATIVE (BLACK) clamp to the vehicle chassis or engine block away
from battery post.
1.5 If the clamps are connected in reverse, the alarm LED on the panel will be on and
an audio alarm will sound. DO NOT turn your jump starter on. This could cause
serious damage. Reverse the connections; the alarm LED will be off and the audio
alarm will stop.
1.6 Turn the power switch on the back panel to the 12 V or 24 V position according to
the voltage of the car battery.
1.7 Crank the engine for 3-5 seconds. If the engine does not start within 10 seconds,
stop cranking and wait at least 4 minutes before attempting to start the vehicle
again (this permits the battery to cool down.)
1.8 After the engine starts, turn the power switch to the OFF position. Then disconnect
the NEGATIVE (BLACK) clamp and then the POSITIVE (RED) clamp in that order.
1.9 Store the clamps in the compartments located on the sides of the case.
1.10 Recharge the jump starter as soon as possible after use.
2. CHARGING
Plug the extension cord into charger plug on the back panel of the jump starter, and
plug the extension cord into main supply. Disconnect the charger cord after charged,
and make sure the voltmeter needle is in the green area.
