NOTE:
● Water hardness cannot be programmed
while brewing.
● The last water hardness level chosen remains
even after removing the power cable.
3. COFFEE PREPARATION
For aromatic coffee flavor and the best fit of your
coffee filter in the filter holder we recommend
using Melitta ® coffee filters 1x4.
● Ensure that the appliance is connected to the
power source.
● Open the filter lid (Fig.2).
● Fill with the required volume of fresh, filtered,
cold water to the desired batch size.
Do not fill above the MAX line. (Fig.3)
● Fold over the seamed edges of a # 4 paper
filter and place in the filter basket.
Scoop the ground coffee into the
paper filter (Fig.4).
● Put the ground coffee into the filter.
The amount depends on your personal taste.
● Closed the filter lid.
● By using the Aroma-Selector you can choose
the coffee result- from mild to strong- to your
personal taste (Fig.5).
● Place the thermal jug into the appliance,
drip-stop (Fig.6) is opened.
● Press the ON/OFF button, the ON/OFF button
will illuminate in green indicating the machine
is operating (Fig.7).
● The appliance turns off automatically short
after brewing, this avoids unnecessary use
of electricity and saves energy.
You can, of course, turn the machine off
manually at any time.
● With the help of the detachable inner filter you
can dispose of the filter bag simply and easily.
4. THERMAL JUGS
● Never immerse jug in water or clean
it in dishwasher Rinse with hot water only
after each use.
● Clean tenacious staining with special cleaner.
● Use a soft damp cloth to clean the exterior.

● Not lay down the filled jug, liquid may
come out.
● Do not place the jug on a hotplate.
● Do not use the jug in microwave-oven.
● Do not use the jug for storage of milk
products or baby food, bacteria may develop.
5. TIMER FEATURE
The appliance is equipped with a TIMER feature.
This allows you to start brewing coffee
automatically at the time you set.
● Prepare the appliance as described
in operation point 3 'making coffee'
but without pressing the ON/OFF button.
● To set the desired start time, hold down the
PROG button (10). The first time you
programme it the display will show
● Set the desired start time by repeatedly
pressing the hand m buttons (Fig.8).
This goes faster if you hold down the button.
● After letting go of the PROG button the
current time will show. The chosen start time
is saved until you set a different time
or remove the appliance from
the power source.
● By briefly pressing the PROG button (10) the
timer feature is activated for the next
brewing process. To show this the PROG
button (10) is illuminated and the programmed
start time shows briefly in the display (Fig.8).
● The appliance automatically starts to make
coffee at the time you have set.
● As long as you do not remove the plug from
the socket or set a new start time,
the previous start time is saved.
● By briefly pressing the PROG button (10) you
can deactivate the timer feature at any time.
The light in the PROG button (10) goes off.
● If you want to make coffee before the start
time you have programmed, press the
ON/OFF button (4). The TIMER feature
will be deactivated.
6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
EXTERNAL CLEANING
● Before cleaning always remove the plug
from the socket.
● Never immerse appliance or cord in water.
● Use a soft damp cloth to clean the exterior.
● Filter insert is dishwasher proof.
