2. Before first use
• Remove the packaging and unpack the coffee grinder.
• All appliances have been tested during production
customer
®
to ensure they work perfectly. Thereof there might
be remains of e.g. coffee powder. Clean the housing,
the grinding chamber, the ground coffee container
and the lid before first use (see point 5 "Cleaning the
coffee grinder").
• Place the ground coffee container/lid as well as the
coffee hopper lid in the correct position. The coffee
grinder will not start to operate unless the hopper
lid is attached to the grinding chamber and the
ground coffee container is inserted correctly.
• The grinder is exclusively intended for coffee beans.
Make sure that there are no foreign objects or other
foodstuffs in the appliance.
• Ensure that the power supply in your home corres-
ponds to that on the model plate on the base of the
appliance.
• Connect the appliance to a power source.
3. Using the coffee grinder
• Ensure that the appliance is connected to the power
source.
• Remove the hopper lid of the bean container by
lifting it straight up .
• Fill the grinding chamber with the desired amount of
coffee beans (max. 200 g). Only add coffee beans to
bean hopper .
ATTENTION: Using unsuitable types of coffee may
lead to clogging of the grinder. Do not use freeze-
dried or caramelized coffee beans and do not pour
ground coffee in the bean container.
• Put the hopper lid back onto the grinder .
• The grind setting dial allows the adjustment of coarse
setting in several steps. Select the coarseness level
by turning the grind setting dial . The dial should
be readjusted while grinding. NOTE: The coarseness
level ranges from 1 (
17 ( ) the coarsest setting.
• Turn the cup setting dial to select the number of
cups to be brewed. Any amount from 2 to 14
cups can be chosen.
• Press the ON/OFF button to start grinding . The
ground coffee passes the grinder chute and will be
collected in the ground coffee container. NOTE:
Avoid filling the ground coffee container completely
since this may cause a blockage inside the appliance.
• The grinder stops automatically once the selected
amount of ground coffee has been produced.
• If you hear a high-pitched noise, coffee beans are
stuck in the grinding chamber. Press the ON/OFF
button to turn off the appliance and unplug it
from the power source . Please clean the grinder
as explained in point 5.
• Remove the ground coffee container when the
grinding process is completely finished . To reduce
static build up, tap gently against the ground coffee
container. Remove the container lid.
• Your freshly ground, aromatic coffee is now ready for use.
4. Tips for best use
• For best flavour, store coffee beans in an airtight
container.
• Only grind the required amount of beans immediately
before brewing as the flavour and smell of ground
coffee changes with exposure to air and through
other food items.
• Please clean the grinder after each use (see point 5
"Cleaning the coffee grinder").
