movement and resetting.

4.2
Adjusting nuts of Racing mounting
column
The adjusting nuts (A) and adjusting elements (B) in the
nuts have to be adjusted as follows to move the Racing
mounting column to the correct position:
1. Move the Racing mounting column to the Standard
position.
2. Fully tighten the position 1 and 2 adjusting elements
(Fig. 47) so that the brass cores make contact with the
inner sliding surface.
3. Press the button for raising the column (from Stan-
dard to Racing position). Watch the raising operation.
Slacken off the position 1 and 2 adjusting elements
until smooth movement is achieved.
4. Tighten the position 1 and 2 adjusting nuts (to fix the
adjusting elements in position).
5. Repeat this operation for all the other adjusting nuts
and adjusting elements. Always adjust in pairs.

Horizontal sliding arm
Check whether the horizontal sliding arm moves smoothly
and without sticking (in arrow direction as per Fig. 48).
i In the event of excessive play (arm difficult to move)
or inadequate play (arm not easy to lock), adjust the
adjusting nuts (A) until the arm moves properly.
