If the batteries run flat (voltage lower than 5 V), the display will read LO-BAT. If this happens replace
the batteries as indicated in the BATTERY INSERTION paragraph.

USE OF THE EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY
If the batteries run flat while the Safe is closed, the Safe can be opened by using an external power
supply.
Enter the four supplied AA-type batteries, checking the polarity indication in the Power supply
compartment, and plug the Power supply connector into the Safe socket shown in the figure.
Normal Safe operation will resume and it will now be possible to open the Safe to replace the
internal batteries.
