1. Installation of the Clima Control

1. Do not place the sensor(s) to be connected in direct
sunlight nor in the direct airflow of fans, as this may
influence the measurements. The sensor must be
mounted at a height of +/- 1 meter above the floor.
2. Mount the TechGrow Clima Control on the wall with
the supplied mounting kit.
3. Connect the sensor(s) to the right side of the Clima
Control with the supplied (UTP) cable(s).
4. Plug the plugs of the fan and the heater into the
outlets of the Clima Control.
5. Plug the Clima Control into an electrical outlet.
6. Ready!

2. Connecting controllers and sensors

Most of the controllers and sensors (except the Temp
Probe) of the TechGrow Pro Series can be
interconnected to achieve an optimal climate.
You can connect the controllers, allowing you to control
your entire climate with only one S-4 Sensor.
Since each device has 3 UTP ports, it is possible to
connect a Datalogger DL-1.
ATTENTION: Make sure that the controller is
switched off before connecting the sensor(s) in order
to prevent possible malfunctions. The sensor can be
plugged into any UTP port.
3. Which sensors can be connected to
the Clima Control?
The minimum sensor required is a Temp/RH Sensor. If
you want the CO
value to be displayed as well, you
2
need a S-4 Sensor. The S-4 simultaneously measures
CO
, temperature, humidity and detects light.

4. Connecting additional sensors or
other devices
The Clima Control can measure and display the values of
the connected CO
, humidity and temperature sensors,
2
and record the minimum/maximum values. However,
the Clima Control only controls temperature and
humidity.
If you want to connect another sensor to the
Clima Control, then first disconnect the
controller from the electrical socket. Wait a few seconds
and connect the sensor. Then, plug the controller back
into the electrical socket.

ATTENTION: NEVER connect two sensors of the same
type to your controller! For example: a S-4 Sensor
can never be connected simultaneously with a
Temp/RH.

5. Automatic functions

The display illumination goes off automatically
after 60 seconds. The lighting switches on again only
when you press or turn the knob.

6. Operation of the Clima Control

The Clima Control controls the temperature and relative
humidity in your room.
The fan control works on the basis of the set minimum
fan speed "BOX MIN", maximum fan speed "BOX MAX",
temperature, relative humidity and hysteresis.
Temperature
Example
If the desired temperature is set to 27 °C and the
hysteresis is set to 2 °C, the temperature can be between
25 °C and 29 °C (27 °C - 2 °C / 27 °C + 2 °C).
If the temperature is below the set temperature minus
hysteresis (in this example, below 25 °C), the fan runs at
the set "BOX MIN" speed.
If the temperature is above the set temperature plus
hysteresis (in this example, above 29 °C), the fan runs at
the set "BOX MAX" speed.
If the measured temperature is equal to the set
temperature (in this case 27 °C), the fan runs at idle
speed (see section 9.4).
Within the set hysteresis range (+/- 2 °C), the speed is
automatically reduced to the set "BOX MIN" speed or
increased to the set "BOX MAX" speed.
Relative humidity
When the air humidity (RH) exceeds setpoint +
hysteresis, the ventilation capacity will slowly increase
until the humidity level drops below this value again.

7. Meaning LEDs

Light detected: light indicator (under PTK).
FAN: indicates that the fan is controlled.
OK: temperature is at desired level (+/- hysteresis).
