1. Safety Warnings
• Only the 66111 switched mode power pack included
with this set may be used.
• The plug-in power pack is only suitable for connec-
ting to household current for 230 volts AC / 50 – 60 Hz.
• Plug several power packs for a model railroad into
a common power strip.
• The power pack is only for use indoors (dry
spaces). It must never come into contact with
water.
• This power pack is only suitable for supplying po-
wer to the hand controller from the startset. It may
not be used to power any other electrical power
consumer.
• The connection between the hand controller and
siding should not exceed a length of 1.90 meters.
• This power pack is not a toy. It is used only to
supply power to the hand controller.
• If you have a short circuit on the layout, first unplug
all power packs from the household current. After
that, correct the cause of the short circuit and then
plug the power packs into the household current
again.

• Never hold the switched mode power pack by its
power cord or by its connecting cable when trans-
porting it.
• With the power turned off, check the power pack
housing on a regular basis for damage. If you have
the slightest suspicion that the power pack is
damaged, it may not be used again until it has been
thoroughly checked out by the Märklin Service
Department. Repairs to the power pack may only
be done by authorized, trained technicians (Märklin
Service Department).
• Never simultaneously connect the driving controller
to multiple plug-in power packs.
• Never insert the connection wires into a power
socket!
• The Märklin Z series is not suited for children and
young persons under 15 years of age.
• Disconnect the power pack from the power supply
prior to cleaning. The power pack and the driving
controller may only be cleaned using a dry cloth. Do
not use water or cleaning solvent!
• If the pins of the plug parts are damaged, the plug-
in power pack shall be scrapped.
