- Once the measuring mode is selected, submerge the conductivity cell into the solution
to be analyzed and wait for a few seconds until the measured value is stably displayed.
The temperature of the solution will be also displayed.
Note: Once the temperature probe is connected to the equipment, the measurements will
be compensated to the temperature of reference according to the temperature coefficient
established. If the temperature probe is not connected, the value displayed will be the ori-
ginal value without being compensated. The reference temperature is 25 ºC for conducti-
vity and TDS determinations and 18 ºC for salinity determinations.
- If HOLD (1.6) is pressed during measurement, the measured value will be kept dis-
played indefinitely although the conductivity cell is taken out of the solution. To exit the
locking mode and return to the measuring mode press HOLD (1.6) again, CANCEL (1.3)
or MODE (1.13).
Parameter adjustment
Nahita conductivity meter 910/8 allows the adjustment of different parameters (con-
ductivity cell constant, TDS conversion factor and temperature coefficient) to adapt to any
kind of application.
1. Cell conductivity constant adjustment
Each conductivity cell presents its own constant value; this value must be introduced in
the equipment every time the conductivity cell is changed.
Taking as an example a conductivity cell with a constant value of 0.98, proceed as
follows:
In the Conductivity measuring mode, press CONST (1.8). The equipment will enter the
cell constant adjustment mode.
By pressing CONST (1.8) place the cursor on the command Const. Select.
With
(1.5) select the level that corresponds to the constant value of the cell to be
used. There are 5 possible levels (0.01, 0.1, 1.0, 5.0 y 10.0); in the example, constant value
of 0.98, the selected level will be 1.0.
