Retain these mounting instructions for future reference or
for subsequent possessors.

Description
These installation instructions describe the installation and
connection of a Fleet Management module.

Safety instructions
Assembly must be carried out by a qualified specialist.
Turn off appliance and secure against restart.
Park the appliance on a level surface and secure it
against rolling away (e.g. by means of wheel chocks
underneath the wheels).
Disconnect the battery prior to performing work on the
electrical installation.

3.1
Preparing the machine software
The machine software must be prepared before installing
the hardware.
1 The software version should be determined; if it is lower
than V4.4, it will be necessary to run an update.
2 The part number and the serial number of the sweeper
must be entered and saved.

The Fleet Management module, for short TCU (Telematics
Control Unit), is used to transfer important status and us-
age data of the device.
CAUTION
Risk of destruction by electrostatic discharge (ESD)!
The following measures must be taken prior to working on
electronic components to avoid damages:
Wear ESD shoes.

Touch one of the battery terminals with your hand for

equipotential.
Do not remove the electronics from their packaging un-

til you are ready to start the installation.

Connect the laptop to the control unit.
Switch on the sweeper (position ON).
Start the service programme.
Determine the software version of the machine control.
If the software version is lower than V4.4, run an up-
date.
