ATTENTION!
Risk of injury!
Unintentional actuation of the foot switch can start up the
machine and lead to a risk of injury.
Before carrying out any maintenance, cleaning or replace-
ment work, always turn off and unplug the machine.
7.1. Changing the sewing light
You switch the sewing light on and off using the main switch (18).
To open the front flap, use the supplied screwdriver to undo the screw in
the middle of the front cover (14).
Now pull the front flap forwards.
You can now change the light bulb by unscrewing it anticlockwise.
Push the front flap back on again until it clicks into place and secure it with
the screw.
NOTICE
The maximum permitted light bulb power rating is 15W.
Light bulbs are available from specialist retailers.
7.2. Replacing the needle
Turn the hand wheel (21) towards you until the needle (26) has reached its
top position.
Loosen the needle clamp screw (24) by turning it towards you with the
screwdriver.
Remove the needle (26) from the needle holder (32).
Insert a new needle (26) with the flat side facing backwards. Push the nee-
dle (26) upwards until it can go no further.
Tighten the needle clamp screw (24) again.
