• ASK THESE QUESTIONS:
1.
Is the compressor to be replaced a side or top discharge?
2.
Will the dive pulley interfere with the cylinder block?
3.
Are all water ports 1/2" NPT?
(EL850 ports are all 1/2").
4.
Will additional lines and fittings be required to relocate
the governor?
5.
Will additional water lines and fittings be required for
installation?

Is adequate air flow available for air cooled models?
• OPTIONAL INSTALLATION CHOICES:
1.
Remote or direct mount governor.
2.
Remote or direct mount air cleaner.
3.
Head can be rotated to any 90º position.
4.
The rear end cap can be rotated to allow ease of oil line
hook-up.
5.
Can be naturally aspirated intake or turbocharged intake (refer
to Air Inlet section on reverse side of this booklet).
6.
Air or water cooled models are available.

• CHANGEOVER MATERIALS THAT MUST BE
SUPPLIED:
1. The EL850 requires no discharge manifold - use 1/2" pipe to
discharge line fittings.
2. Possibly need 1/2" to 3/8" water port reducers.
3. If replacement is charged to naturally aspirated - supply KN19040
and plug the turbocharger port on the engine.
• CHANGEOVER MATERIAL THAT SHOULD
BE CONSIDERED:
1. For ease of changeover and extended life of the compressor use
the KN17500 series flexible Teflon discharge line kit.
2. Let the compressor breathe - use a KN19040 heavy duty filter.
3. Universal water line kit, SN3502 to hook-up coolant lines.
• CHANGEOVER MATERIAL THAT MIGHT BE
REQUIRED
1. Remote mount governor kit SN4011B.
2. Inlet check valve kit SN3711AJ can be used to reduce unloaded
horsepower requirements and for installations which have
demonstrated excessive oil consumption.
3. If the discharge and adjacent water port both require elbow fitting, it
may be necessary to extend the water port with a pipe fitting.
