wear and tear.
Reverse the bar on the occasion of every maintenance operation to ensure more uniform
-
wear.
In case of chain / bar replacement, please use original spare parts only; the type of bar
-
and chain originally supplied with the chain saw has been tested and certificated
according to the existing laws, particularly in order to limit any kick back danger (see
charter A18); therefore using non original bar and chain can be very dangerous for the
user.
The brand and type of bar and chain are indicated on the technical data table.

Air filter
A blocked air filter reduces the engine performance, the cutting efficiency, and increases fuel
consumption.
Cutting dry wood and working in a dusty environment require the filter to be cleaned more
-
often.
a)
Remove the filter cover (fig. 22) by unscrewing the knob.
Lift the filter (fig.23).
-
-
Separate the two halves (fig.24) by using a screwdriver (if required).
Blow with compressed air from the inside to the outside.
-
b)
Replace the filter if damaged (warped and/or split).
Fuel filter
Can be removed (through the refuelling hole fig.1 item 13) by using a hook and by holding it
with long nose pliers.
Replace the filter at least once a year.
- Use a genuine filter.
Oil filter
Can be removed for cleaning (through the refuelling hole (fig.1 item14) by using a hook and by
holding it with long nose pliers.
Replace it if it appears damaged.
- Position the filter in the bottom right section of the tank (to ensure the oil is correctly drawn).
Spark plug
Check the condition of the spark plug at least once a year or if the engine struggles to start.
Wait until the engine cools down before carrying out the operation.
1)
Remove the cap and unscrew the spark plug with the key supplied (fig.25).
Check and possibly adjust the distance between the electrodes (fig. 26).
If stubborn dirt and high wear of the electrodes is noticed, replace with a spark plug of the
same type (fig.26).
Stubborn dirt can occur if:
the oil in the fuel is too much and/or the oil quality is unsuitable.
-
-
the air filter is partly obstructed.
2)
Manually screw the spark plug to the end of its thread to avoid damaging its housing. Use
a suitable key only for the tightening operation (fig.25).
