13. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
HOW TO CLEAN THE FABRIC COVER
The child car seat's fabric cover can be re-
moved and cleaned by hand or in a washing
machine at 30°C. Please refer to the cleaning
instructions on the fabric label, which illus-
trates the following washing symbols:
Machine washable at 30°C
Do not bleach
Do not tumble dry
Do not iron
Do not dry clean
Never use abrasive detergents or solvents. Do
not spin dry the cover and leave to dry with-
out wringing out. To remove the various sec-
tions of the fabric cover from the child car seat
frame, follow the instructions below:
Only if the child car seat is configured for Gr. 1,
follow the instructions (from 1 to 7) described
in chapter 7. CHANGE OF CHILD CAR SEAT
SET-UP FROM GROUP 1 (9-18 KG) TO GROUP
2/3 (15-36 KG).
1. Remove the elastic from the diagonal belt
slot (C) (Fig. 51).
2. Remove the lining from the headrest (Fig. 52).
3. Remove the cover from the foot area (Fig. 53).
4. Remove the fabric from the middle of the sea.
5. Remove the cover from the side structure,
unhooking the elastic bands next to the GR.
2/3 waist belt slots (L) (Fig. 54).
6. Remove the cover from the top of the child
car seat, unhooking the elastic band (Fig. 55).
7. Complete the procedure by removing the
fabric from the top part (Fig. 56).
CLEANING PLASTIC AND METAL PARTS
Clean plastic and coated metal parts with a
damp cloth only. Never use abrasive deter-
gents or solvents.
The movable parts of the child car seat must
not be lubricated.
CHECKING THE CONDITION OF THE COM-
PONENTS
It is a good idea to regularly check the con-
dition of the following components to make
sure they are not damaged or worn:
• Fabric cover: check that the padding does
not come out from the seams. Check the
condition of the seams: they must always be
intact and undamaged.
• Harness straps: check that the fabric lining is
not frayed and that the harness strap is not
worn out around the adjustment strap, crotch,
shoulders and harness adjustment plate.
• Plastic parts: check that plastic parts are not
worn out, damaged or faded.
WARNING! If the child car seat is damaged,
deformed or very worn, it must be replaced: its
original safety features may be compromised.
STORING THE PRODUCT
When it is not fitted in the car, it is advisable
to store the child car seat in a dry place, away
from sources of heat, dust, humidity and di-
rect sunlight.
DISPOSING OF THE PRODUCT
When the child car seat no longer complies
with the original safety standards, stop using it
and dispose of it at an appropriate collection
point. Dispose of the product in accordance
with the environmental regulations in force in
your country.
WARRANTY
The product is guaranteed against any con-
formity defect in normal conditions of use as
provided for by the instructions for use.
The warranty shall not therefore apply in the
case of damages caused by improper use,
wear or accidental events.
For the duration of warranty on conformity
defects please refer to the specific provisions
of national laws applicable in the country of
purchase, where provided.
