Install the Tailgate Reinforcement Plate "A" and
heim Mount Plate "B" to the tailgate where the
factory tire carrier was mounted using the factory
fasteners.
Use the extra factory hardware to fill the unused
holes. Leave the bolt for the heim mount loose
for now.

Locate the 1-1/4 x 8-1/2 bolt and place it through the top tube of the carrier. The mouting plate can be
configured multiple ways to accomodate most wheels. See Figure 7
Set the distance based on your wheel backspace and use the 1-1/4" nuts to secure the plate in position.

Thread the provided 1/2" bolts through the mounting plate and tighten.
NOTE: The tire should be pressed tightly up against the tire carrier

Set this distance to the same as the backspace of your wheels

Use a 3/8" x 2" bolt to mount the heim joint
assembly onto the tailgate mount
See Figure 9.
Note: Install washers above and below the heim
joints on both sides of the mounts to allow the
heim movement.

Adjust Disk to desired spacing. Then tighten
"C" to "D". Rotate the disc to the desired
position and tighten "A" and "B" to keep disk
from rotating.
