External seals are required when used in Group B Hazardous
areas. Install seals immediately adjacent to conduit opening.
C. Install conduit into hub and pull all necessary wires into
housing. Connect all wiring from the power source to
the proper terminations following your system wiring
pattern in accordance with NEC. Note: For fire alarm
service see AC wiring diagrams, located at the bottom
of this page
WARNING
Housing must be securely attached into a permanently
grounded system in accordance with Article 250 of NEC.
D. Replace body cover assembly on housing with striker
positioned at the bottom and secure with four hex head
screws removed previously. Gong is factory set for the
loudest sound output. For this level of sound, line up the
mark on the gong with the striker. Replace gong and
adjust position in relation to striker for desired sound
output. Note: For single stroke signals, rotate gong until
single loudest sound is obtained. Secure with screw
removed previously.
Check for dirt, grit or other foreign material on the mounting
surfaces of the body cover and housing. Be certain that each
surface is wiped completely clean before reassembling.
Surfaces must fully seat against each other to provide a
proper explosionproof seal.
E.
Pour sealing compound into sealing fitting (where used)
in accordance with instructions provided with the
approved sealing fitting and sealing compound package
label.
