Safety notes
Operating voltage 230 VAC!
Risk of injury from electric shock!
The mains supply must be in-phase!
The NSV 401 may not, under any circumstances, be operated without
an earthed conductor!
- The output limits of the apparent and effective output may not
be exceeded
- Observe the safety notes when changing/assembling the battery (see page 11)
- Only an authorised electrician may connect and work on the NSV 401
- In case of surface condensation, at least 2 hours are required for
acclimatisation
- Do not install the NSV 401 near heat sources; unrestricted air circulation
must always be ensured
Commissioning
Proper connection of the 230 V AC cables and battery connections (see
page 11) must be verified prior to commissioning.
Scope of supply
Emergency power supply with battery cover/fuse and NM 650.
Batteries must be ordered separately.

Intended use
Emergency power supply for 230 VAC SHEV systems in the event of an
alarm. In connection with RZN 43xx-E control panels and 230 VAC SHEV
group plug-in cards GE 650 and the NM 650 emergency power supply
module.
Features
- True sinusoidal voltage at the output of the NSV 401, marginal
distortion factor
- The parallel circuit of several NSV 401 is prohibited
- 230 VAC emergency power supply
- 72 hr. standby without power supply
System description
The NSV 401 is an emergency power supply for 230 VAC D+H SHEV
systems. In combination with the GE 650 set, the NSV 401 supplies the
connected SHEV drives with mains voltage. In case of power failure they
are supplied with 230 VAC for 3 minutes (72 hr. standby) by the system's
battery bank . Any ventilation units connected to the system may not be
supplied by the NSV 401.
