3 flash modes: Auto flash – the flash fires automatically if the lighting
conditions are poor
Fill-in flash – press the Flash-ON button
when taking a photograph even in good lighting conditions. This reduces the
contrast on the subject and lightens the shadows in backlight conditions.
Flash-off – press the Flash-OFF button
Flash charging time: Approx. 8 seconds with fresh batteries
Flash light sensor: Light metering through built-in CDS cell switches on the
flash automatically in poor light conditions
Flash ready indicator: A green light signals that the flash is ready
Effective flash range: 1.5 to 2.5 m when using ISO 100 film
Red-eye reduction: A red LED pre-light reduces red-eye effect in flash

Lens cover: Protects the lens from dust etc. It operates with the ON/OFF slide
switch
. Opening switches on the power and closing switches the power off
again. When the lens cover is closed, the shutter release button
so that unintentional photographs cannot be taken.

A. Installing / replacing the batteries
Open the battery compartment cover
and insert 2 x AA alkali batteries (when replacing exhausted batteries, first
switch off the power using the ON/OFF switch
symbols (plus /+ and minus /-) on the inside of the battery compartment
(refer to Fig. 1).
Note: Avoid unnecessary battery use and in particular close the lens cover
when you are not using the camera.
B. Installing the film
1) Switch the camera on – slide back the ON/OFF slide switch
2) Open the camera back
– slide the back cover lock
3) Place the film into the film chamber

4) Now close the camera back
