Installation & Mounting:
Permanent Mounting:
Select the mounting location for the strobe bar on a flat, smooth surface. If the strobe bar is to be mounted on a curved sur-
face, such as on the roof of the vehicle, choose a placement with the least amount of curvature. The mounting location for
the strobe bar should be chosen such that there is maximum visibility to the oncoming traffic.
CAUTION!
When drilling into any vehicle surface, make sure that the area is free from any electrical wires, fuel
lines, vehicle upholstery, etc. that could be damaged.
Use the following instructions for mounting (refer to Figures 1 & 2).
1.
Drill four (4) mounting holes and one (1) wire access hole as shown in the pattern in Figure 1
below. The strobe bar is designed with slots on the bottom for mounting. This allows for variable
mounting centers along the length of the strobe bar, adding versatility.
2.
Wire the strobe bar (see the section on wiring).
3.
Insert the head of one of the bolts into the opening at the end of one of the slots on the base, and slide into position.
Repeat for the other three bolts, and place the rubber spacers onto the bolts. These spacers mount between the
bottom of the strobe bar and the mounting surface.
4.
Mount the strobe bar with the bolts through the holes drilled in Step 2 above, and secure with the flat washer, lock
washer and nut as shown in Figure 2.
