- Push the outer fork tube upward.
- Clamp the fork leg in the area of the lower triple clamp.
Clamping stand T612S
- Grease the O-ring of the screw cap.
Lubricant T158
- Mount screw cap and tighten to 30 Nm.

Fork rework
- Mount fork legs (see Repair Manual).
- Fit front fender (see repair manual).
Shock absorber preparatory work
- Remove the shock absorber.
- Remove the spring.
Fitting spring (see Repair Manual)
- Mount spring (scope of supply).

The tight coil of the spring is at the bottom.
- Clamp the shock absorber into the auxiliary tool.
- See Repair Manual for further steps.
Shock absorber rework
- Install the shock absorber.
Removing the side stand
- Remove spring

- Remove magnetic plug

- Remove fi tting .

- Remove the original side stand.
Installing the side stand
- Position side stand (scope of supply).

- Mount fi tting and tighten to 25 Nm.

- Mount magnetic plug and tighten to 8 Nm.

- Attach spring .

Final steps
- Take the motorcycle off of the lift stand (see Repair Manual).
