CHARGING PROCEDURE
NOTE: Before using the tool, read the
instruction book carefully.
1. CHARGING YOUR BATTERY PACK
WARNING: The battery charger supplied
is matched to the Li-Ion battery installed in
the machine. Do not use another battery charger.
The Li-ion battery is protected against deep
discharging. When the battery is empty, the
machine is switched off by means of a protective
circuit. The tool holder no longer rotates.
WARNING: In a warm environment or
after heavy use, the battery pack may
become too hot to permit charging. Allow time
for the battery to cool down before recharging.
2. HOW TO CHARGE YOUR BATTERY
(See Fig. A)
Connect the battery charger to the power
supply. Slide the battery pack (a) into the
charger to make the connections. The indicator
light (2) will flash green to show charging
has started. A discharged battery at normal
ambient temperature will take approximately
6
6
90min (WA3559) or 2hr (WA3555) to reach
full charge. When charging is completed, the
indicator light (2) will be on green.
NOTE:
This charger is designed to detect some
problems that can arise with battery pack. (See
table below)

The temperature of
battery pack is less
than 32°F (0°C) or more
than 113°F (45°C).
Defective battery,
after pre-charge
some minutes with
trickle current, the
total battery voltage
is still less than 28 V.
PROBLEM SOLUTION
1. I CANNOT FIT THE BATTERY INTO THE
BATTERY CHARGER. WHY?
a) Check if the charger and the battery pack
are specifically designed for working
together.
b) The battery can be inserted into the
charger only in one direction. Turn the
battery around until it can be inserted into
the slot, the indicator light should flash
green when the battery is charging.
2. REASONS FOR DIFFERENT CHARGING
TIMES
The charging time can be affected by many
reasons which are not defects in your product.
a) If the battery pack is only partly discharged
it may be re-charged in less than 90min
(WA3559) or 2hr (WA3555).
b) If the battery pack and ambient
temperature are very cold then re-charging
may take more time.
c) If the battery pack is very hot, it will start
charging the battery automatically after
the battery pack cools down.
MAINTAIN TOOLS WITH
CARE
Remove the plug from the socket before
carrying out any adjustment, servicing or
maintenance.
Your tool requires no additional lubrication
or maintenance. Never use water or chemical
cleaners to clean your power tool. Wipe clean
with a dry cloth. Always store your power tool
in a dry place.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in order to
avoid a hazard.
