For use as light barrier: Light barriers serve for releasing a switching pulse whenever there has been an interruption of a light beam caused by a person or an object, which
will operate counters, bells etc. So, it is necessary to screen the enclosed phototransistor with a small black cardboard tube against lateral interfering light and to fix it
horizontal in front of a lamp. The phototransistor is to be mounted on the printed wiring board at "T1". Now, the lamp has to be lined up, so that the light beam falls horizontal into the
cardboard tube on the phototransistor. The trimmer potentiometer has to be adjusted, so that with enough illumination the relay will just drop out. Whenever a person or an object
interrupts the light beam, the relay will pull on and it is possible to operate counters, bells, etc.
For use as twilight-switch: When applied as twilight-switch the phototransistor has to be connected at "T1". The trimmer potentiometer has to be adjusted, so that the relay pulls on at
dusk or twilight. Now, through the relay it is possible to switch on lamps like e.g. courtyard illumination, lights for house numbers etc. at dusk and switch off at dawn automatically.
Application as heat switch: If the enclosed NTC-resistance has been soldered at "T1", the relay will pull on in case the temperature falls below the preset temperature and will switch off
in case the temperature exceeds the preset one. If the NTC-resistance has been soldered at "T", the relay will switch on in case the temperature exceed the one fixed in advance, and in
case of minor temperatures will switch off. The NTC-resistance can be considered as the "heat sensor" of the circuitry and, therefore, has to be fixed at the spot at which temperature
should be controlled. The NTC-resistance had not been insulated externally. If it should be e.g. dipped in liquids or mounted at metal parts (in order to control temperature), the
resistance part has to be insulated beforehand (e.g. through dipping the NTC-resistance into liquid plastic, fixing it in a ceramic tube etc.). Furthermore, it is important to consider when
adjusting the switching-point for the temperature, that the NTC-resistance may sometimes finish adjustment of the ambient temperature not before 20 seconds.
Advice: If it is desired that during operation of the light barrier the relay should in case of interruption of the light beam switch off instead of switch on, it is necessary to solder the
phototransistor at "T".

nu een persoon of een voorwerp de lichtstraal onderbreekt, dan trekt het relais aan en er kunnen telwerken, bellen enz. in werking gesteld worden.
Gebruik als lichtdetector: Bij gebruik als lichtdetector wordt de fototransistor bij "T1" aangesloten. De trimpotentiometer wordt zo ingesteld, dat het relais bij duisternis of schemering
aantrekt. Nu kunnen met het relais lampen zoals buitenverlichting, huisnummerlicht enz. bij invallen der duisternis ingeschakeld en bij het aanbreken van de dag automatisch
uitgeschakeld worden.
Gebruik als temperatuurschakelaar: Wanneer de bijliggende NTC-weerstand bij "T1" vastgesoldeerd wordt, trekt het relais bij het lager worden als de voorgekozen temperatuur aan en
schakelt bij het hoger worden der temperatuur uit. Wordt de NTC-weerstand bij "T" vastgesoldeerd, dan schakelt het relais bij het hoger worden van de voorgekozen temperatuur in en bij
lagere temperaturen uit. De NTC-weerstand is de "warmtevoeler" van de schakeling en moet aangebracht worden op de plaats waar de temperatuur gecontroleerd moet worden. De
NTC-weerstand is aan de buitenzijde niet geisoleerd. Wanneer hij bijv. in vloeistoffen ondergedompeld of aan metalen lichamen bevestigd moet worden (voor het controleren van de
temperatuur hiervan), moet het weerstandslichaam van te voren geisoleerd worden (bijv. door het onderdompelen van de NTC-weerstand in vloeibare kunststof, het vastplakken in een
keramiekbuisje enz.). Bovendien moet er bij de instelling van het temperatuurschakelpunt opgelet worden, dat de NTC-weerstand zich af en toe pas na 20 seconden op de
omgevingstemperatuur ingesteld heeft.
Opmerking: Wanneer bij het gebruiken als fotoelectrische barrière het relais bij het onderbreken van de lichtstraal uitschakelen i.p.v. inschakelen moet, dan moet de fototransistor bij "T"
vastgesoldeerd worden.
