3.8 ROW MARKER DISK ADJUSTMENT

The row marker is a machine that traces a reference line parallel
to the tracks of the tractor on the ground.
When the tractor hnishes a row and makes a U-turn, the front
wheel will begin the new row through alignment with the line
traced in parallel (Fig. 38).
The row marker will continue to trace a parallel reference line
during its progress down each row.
The inversion of the row-marker arms is moved by means of a
control on the seeder.
ATTENTION
Before operating the hydraulic system of the row marker, apply
light pressure with your hand on the row marker arm in the
direction of the arrow (Fig. 39), unhook the safety devices on
both the arms (A Fig. 39), and then position them as shown in
Figure 40. For travel on the road, lock the row marker arms in
a vertical position with the safety devices (A Fig. 39).
System regulation:
The hydraulic systems provided come equipped with one-way
flow regulators (Fig. 37) which allow for the regulation of the
quantity of oil during opening or closing, depending on how the
regulators have been installed:
Flow from A to B, free (Fig. 37);
Flow from B to A, choked (regulated) (Fig. 37).
o regulate, loosen the lock nut (1) and turn the knob (2). Once this
adjustment has been made, re-tighten the lock nut.
Make sure that the result of this adjustment does not cause
the rising or descent speed to damage the structure itself.
Never exceed the maximum admissible pressure for the
hydraulic system.

3.8.1 ROW MARKING ARM LENGTH

See Fig. 38 and observe the following rules for correct row market
arm adjustment:
L = D (N +1) - C
where:
L= the distance between the outermost element and the row
marker
D= the distance between the rows
N= the number of elements working
C= the tractor's front wheelbase.
Example:
D=12,5 cm; N=24 elements; C=150 cm;
L=12,5 (24 + 1) -150 =81,25 cm
Accessories on request: the seeding maschine can be
equipped with an hidraulic rows marker. This rows marker
forsees the marking refered to the centre of the tractor.
For normal soils the correct working position of the disc is that
shown in Fig. 41 ref. A; for strong soils turn it over as shown in ref.
