SAFETY PRESCRIPTIONS

This manual is an integral part of the appliance and must be
carefully read before use since it contains important information
on the safety, installation, use and maintenance. Keep in a safe
place.
• After removing the package, make sure the appliance is undamaged.
• Do not leave parts of package (carton, box) within reach of children or persons
with reduced mental capacities, since these are potential sources of danger.
• This appliance was exclusively designed for domestic use as kitchen scales. Any
other use is considered improper.
• LANGE DISTRIBUTION cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by
improper, incorrect and negligent use.
• Contact a service centre authorised by the company for any repairs and ask for
original spare parts.
• If you decide to no longer use the appliance, make any dangerous parts harmless,
especially for children who may use the appliance to play with.
• To dispose of the appliance and the batteries, please follow the regulations in
force in your town.
BATTERY INSERTION AND REPLACEMENT
To replace the battery, please proceed as follows:
• remove the cover of the battery compartment (3) which is located under the appliance;
• take out the battery;
• insert the new battery observing the polarity. Then close the cover.
IMPORTANT!
Used batteries must be disposed of carefully. Please follow the regulations in force in your town.
If the scales are not used for a long time, we recommend removing the battery
