1. General instruction
Every person, who is concerned with erection, operation, maintenance or repair of the product, must have read
and understood the instruction manual.
National standards and safety regulations must be observed.
2. Use and intended purpose
The eye shower is used for washing out specifically the eyes.
3. Technical details
The eye shower is mounted on the wall, it has two spray heads and either a steel or a plastic basin. The double
spray head has a self regulating water flow, filter and protective caps.
4. Assembly
Connecting up
•
For assembly process see drawing
•
Drill two 9 mm holes and one 7 mm hole in the wall
•
Fix wall bracket to wall with wall plugs, one M6 screw and two M8 screws
•
Connect the inlet opening to a ½" NPT water supply connection
5. Operation
•
Remove protective caps from the spray heads
•
The eye shower is operated via the pressure plate. To do this push the pressure plate backwards
•
The pressure plate remains in this position
•
To turn off the shower the pressure plate must be pushed to the front again.
Hazard sources
•
The spray heads must be covered with the protective caps when not in use to prevent fouling of the spray
heads.

Full body and eye showers serve a main purpose in the range of first aid.
Burns, scalds or chemical burn are injuries, whereupon immediate action is neccecary to minimise damage. To
reduce impairment, this injuries should be treated with cold water as soon as possible.
7. Maintenance and servicing
The eye shower should be operated at least monthly to check it is functioning. On the one hand this checks the
operation and on the other this prevents the water still present in the shower being contaminated with germs or
discoloured.
