WARNING: Please check your state and local laws before installing this LED off-road product.
Every state/province has different policies and procedures in place regarding aftermarket vehicle
accessories. The installation is recommended to be performed by a licensed professional. The
improper installation of this kit will void all warranties. Please read the following instructions
thoroughly before installing this flood light.
Mounting the LED Flood Light
This light is designed to be recessed into a truck bumper or any application requiring a clean look.
It requires an opening of 3 ¼˝ wide, 3˝ high and a depth of at least 3˝. See figure 1 for optional
mounting template
1. Prior to installation, inspect and check the operation of this flood light to ensure that it is
functioning properly. Simply connect the RED power wire to the Positive (+) terminal on the battery
and then connect the BLACK wire to the Negative (-) terminal on the battery or to any other good
unpainted ground source
2. Insert the light into the 3 ¼˝ x 3˝ opening and mark the location of four holes on the surface or drill
4 x ¼˝ holes on the marked locations of the template
3. Flush mount the light assembly to the ¼˝ holes and secure with the provided hardware
Powering the LED Flood Light
NOTE 1: Before installation, make sure to disconnect the battery for safety
NOTE 2: If this flood light is directly connected to a battery, a toggle switch is needed to turn the lights
on/off, as well as an in-line fuse within 12 inches of the power source. Be sure that the toggle switch
you are using is rated for the correct amperage (found on the product box)
NOTE 3: When you are extending the lead power wires to the flood light, it is highly recommended to
solder the connection and then to heat-shrink over the soldered connection (these materials are not
included - but available at most hardware or auto part stores)
1. Connect the RED power wire to the positive output post of the toggle switch, and run the
appropriate gauge wire (18 gauge at a minimum) from the input post of the toggle switch to positive
(+) terminal on the battery
NOTE: Be sure to install the appropriate fuse (3A) for your work lamp/light bar within 12 inches of your
power source
2. Next, connect the ground wire to the negative (-) terminal on the battery or any other good bare
metal ground source
3. You can now flip the toggle switch to the "on" position to test your LED light bar for full functionality
Reminders
1. Work under the specified voltage DCV12-24
2. The light becomes hot under continuous use. Don't remove or touch the housing for at least 30
minutes after turning lamp off
3. Keep heat-sink fins clean and free of debris to maintain air flow
