5.1.2 Wire feeder unit MIG WF5 (Item No 1648)
The kit is supplied preassembled with pressure regulator (2) calibrated by the manufacturer and complete
with connections, as shown in Fig. 1.
− Remove the wire feeder external panels, including the gas solenoid support panel, and remove
the gas solenoid. Referred to instruction manual 3301046 and the exploded parts list 3301090
position (22).
− Connect flow control board (1) in its housing, Fig.4;
− Connect pressure regulator (2) to solenoid and flow sensor unit (3) and place in its housing;
− Connect the following connections as shown in the wiring diagram in Fig.10 and Fig.4:
• - connect sensor (3) to the "PLASMA2" connector of flow control board (1);
• - connect proportional solenoid (5) to connector J6 of flow control board (1);
• - connect power supply (8) between connector J2 of flow control board (1) and connector J3
of board (224);
• - connect CAN bus (4) between connector J4 of flow control board (1) and connector J5A of
board (224).
− Refit the wire feeder external panels.
