General operating instructions.
Switching ON and OFF (Figure 1).
First check that the mains supply lead and mains
plug are not damaged.
Switching ON:
Press the switch (1a) and the lock-off (1b) at
the same time.
Let go of the lock-off (1b).
Switching OFF:
Let go of the switch (1a).
Locking the switch:
Keep the switching on lock (1b) pressed
while the power tool is switched on, and let go
of the switch (1a).
To unlock, press the switch (1a) once again
and then let go of it.
Position the cord clear of the spinning accessory.
If you lose control of the power tool, the cord
may be cut or snagged and your hand or arm
may be pulled into the spinning accessory.
Use a high speed for grinding or cutting opera-
tions.
Do not strain the power tool!
Grinding:
Keep to an angle of tilt of 20 – 40°. In this way
you will obtain a good removal.
Press the power tool on evenly and move it
over the surface.
Do not allow the surface of the workpiece to
become too hot.
Cutting:
Always work against the direction of rotation
so that the cutting wheel does not jump out of
the cut.
Repair and customer service.
When working metal under extreme
operating conditions, it is possible for con-
ductive dust to settle in the interior of the
power tool. The total insulation of the power tool can
be impaired. Blow out the interior of the power tool
via the ventilation slots frequently with dry and oil-
free compressed air, and connect a residual current
device (RCD) on the line side.
If the supply cord of this power tool is damaged it must
be replaced by a specially prepared cord available
through the FEIN customer service centre.
The current spare parts list for this power tool can be
found in the Internet at www.fein.com.
If required, you can change the following parts yourself:
Application tools, hand guard, auxiliary handle, flanges,
wheel guard.
