Tightening torques
Specifi cation
Tightening torque for screws:
Fill hydraulic oil in the hydraulic end
Set the stroke adjustment dial to "100%" and open the safety relief valve (2) - tighten the knurled screw.
Slowly pour hydraulic oil through the opening for the gearbox vent stopper until the oil inspection window is covered to
halfway.
Start the pump.
Allow the pump to run for 1... 2 minutes.
Replace the vent screw.
Close the safety relief valve (loosen the knurled screw).
Check the pump for tightness by using maximum back pressure.
ATTENTION
Check the tightening torque of the dosing head screws again after 24-hours of operation!
Place the mounting plate (8) with the depressed side down against the spring
collar (5).
Secure the mounting plate with the two screws (M6 with nuts and washers) onto the
3
diaphragm mounting plate (2): screw the screws into the provided threads - Figure.
Drive the two nuts with the washers down to the mounting plate and then 1 mm
4
deeper.
Release the safety collar (4).
Unscrew the two nuts uniformly in order to slowly release the spring (3) tension.
Pull the spring (3) with the spring collar (5) from the diaphragm anchor (6).
Remove the diaphragm / diaphragm anchor combination from the diaphragm
mounting plate (2).
6
Place the new diaphragm / diaphragm anchor combination into the diaphragm
mounting plate (2).
5
Push the diaphragm spring (3) with the spring collar (5) on to the diaphragm
anchor (6).
8
Secure the mounting plate (8) with the two screws (M6 with nuts) onto the dia-
phragm mounting plate (2): screw the screws into the provided threads.
Drive the two nuts uniformly down to the groove of the diaphragm anchor for the
2
safety collar and then 1 mm deeper.
Engage the safety collar (4) safely in the groove of the diaphragm anchor.
Unscrew the two nuts until no spring tension is acting any more and then remove
the mounting aid and the screws.
Replace the O-ring (7) between the diaphragm mounting plate (2) and the hydraulic
end.
Place the diaphragm (1) with the diaphragm mounting plate (2) inside the hydraulic
end.
Position the dosing head with the screws so that the suction connector is pointing
downwards - diaphragm sensor must be at the bottom.
First gently tighten the dosing head screws and then tighten crosswise, tightening
torque - refer to "Tightening torque" table.
Test the diaphragm rupture sensor - refer to "Repairing the Diaphragm Rupture
Sensor" chapter in the Hydro 4 operating instructions.
Screw the suction and discharge line on to the liquid end.
