If the rubber grommets turn while turning in the screws, hold them in
place with your finger, as shown in the photo. Carefully tighten the
screws until the mounting bracket is firmly seated.
Carefully drill through the four holes on the mounting bracket through the
storage compartment using a 2.5 mm bit. Do not drill down too deeply to
keep from damaging the fender.
The wiring harness (1) for the alarm system is stowed away in the left rear
end and held in place with a cable tie. Loosen the cable tie and run

the harness into the storage compartment.
Disconnect the dummy plug (2).

Connect the alarm system to the wiring harness. Slide the grommet on the
wiring harness over the connector. Screw the alarm system onto the
mounting bracket using the four 3.5x16 oval head self-tapping screws.
