The terms "device" or "product" are used in the warnings
and instructions to refer to FREQUENCY INVERTER.

1. GENERAL SAFETY RULES

a)
Do not touch the device with wet or damp hands.
b)
ATTENTION! DANGER TO LIFE! While cleaning, never
immerse the device in water or other liquids.
c)
Make sure the workplace is clean and well lit. A messy
or poorly lit workplace may lead to accidents. Try
to think ahead, observe what is going on and use
common sense when working with the device.
d)
If you discover damage or irregular operation,
immediately switch the device off and report it to
a supervisor without delay.
e)
If there are any doubts as to the correct operation
of the device, contact the manufacturer's support
service.
f)
Only the manufacturer's service point may repair the
device. Do not attempt any repairs independently!
g)
In case of fire, use a powder or carbon dioxide
(CO
) fire extinguisher (one intended for use on live

electrical devices) to put it out.
h)
Children or unauthorised persons are forbidden to
enter a work station.
i)
Use the device in a well-ventilated space.
j)
Please keep this manual available for future reference.
If this device is passed on to a third party, the manual
must be passed on with it.
k)
Keep packaging elements and small assembly parts in
a place not available to children.
l)
Keep the device away from children and animals.
m)
If this device is used together with another
equipment, the remaining instructions for use shall
also be followed.
n)
Do not use the device when tired, ill or under the
influence of alcohol, narcotics or medication which
can significantly impair the ability to operate the
device.
o)
The device is not designed to be handled by persons
(including children) with limited mental and sensory
functions or persons lacking relevant experience and/
or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or they have received
instruction on how to operate the device.

When working with the device, use common sense
and stay alert. Temporary loss of concentration while
using the device may lead to serious injuries.
q)
The device is not a toy. Children must be supervised
to ensure that they do not play with the device.
r)
Do not overload the device. Use the appropriate
tools for the given task. A correctly-selected device
will perform the task for which it was designed better
and in a safer manner.
s)
Disconnect the device from the power supply
before commencement of adjustment, cleaning and
maintenance. Such a preventive measure reduces the
risk of accidental activation.
t)
When not in use, store in a safe place, away from
children and people not familiar with the device who
have not read the user manual. The device may pose
a hazard in the hands of inexperienced users.
u)
Keep the device in perfect technical condition.
v)
Keep the device out of the reach of children.
w)
Device repair or maintenance should be carried out
by qualified persons, only using original spare parts.
This will ensure safe use.
x)
To ensure the operational integrity of the device, do
not remove factory-fitted guards and do not loosen
any screws.
y)
Clean the device regularly to prevent stubborn grime
from accumulating.
z)
It is forbidden to interfere with the structure of
the device in order to change its parameters or
construction.
aa)
Keep the device away from sources of fire and heat.
bb)
Do not cover the ventilation openings!
2. SAFE USE OF THE DEVICE
2.1. BEFORE INSTALLING
a)
If the device is wet, damaged or missing parts, do not
connect it to the power supply.
b)
Avoid shocks and impacts when transporting, moving
and carrying the device.
c)
Do not touch the control system elements, otherwise
there is a risk of electrostatic discharge!
2.2. DURING INSTALLATION
a)
The device should be placed on a heat-resistant
surface (e.g. metal) and kept away from flammable
materials.
b)
Do not remove bolts, especially form the parts
marked in red!
c)
Do not put any objects into the device as this may
damage it. Install the device in a vibration-free place
and protect it from direct sunlight.
d)
When two frequency converters are placed close to
each other, pay attention to their position and ensure
adequate heat dissipation.
2.3. CONNECTING THE CABLES
a)
The device must be connected by a qualified person
and in accordance with the operating manual.
b)
The frequency converter and the power supply
should be separated by a circuit breaker to prevent
fire.
c)
Before connecting the cables, make sure they are not
live, otherwise an electric shock may occur!
d)
The device must be properly connected to the
ground to avoid electric shock.

e)
Do not connect input power to the output terminals
(U, V, W) on the frequency converter. The cables must
be connected in accordance with the markings on the
terminals, otherwise the device may be damaged.
f)
Make sure that all cables are undamaged, in
accordance with EMC requirements, local safety
standards and the instruction manual.
g)
Do not connect a braking resistor directly between the
DC bus terminals (+) (-), otherwise a fire may result.
h)
The encoder should use a single shielded wire and
have a reliable grounding of the shielding layer
terminal!
2.4. BEFORE CONNECTING TO THE MAINS
a)
Confirm the compliance between the input power
voltage and the rated voltage of the frequency
converter and the correct connection of the power
input (R, S, T) and output (U, V, W) terminals. Check
that there is no short circuit in the external circuit
connecting to the controller and that the wires are
properly connected, otherwise the controller may be
damaged.
b)
No part of the frequency converter requires a voltage
test as the product has been tested.
c)
Do NOT connect the frequency converter to the
power supply with the cover open. It may result in
electric shock.
2.5. AFTER CONNECTING TO THE MAINS
Failure to follow the warnings below may result in electric
shock:
a)
Do not open the device cover when the device is
connected to the power supply.
b)
Do not touch the controller or electric wires with wet
hands.
c)
Do not touch the input or output terminals of the
frequency converter.
d)
When first connected to the mains, the frequency
converter will detect the external current loop. Do
not touch the U, V, W wire terminals of the converter
or the motor wire terminals.
2.6. DURING OPERATION
a)
Do not touch the cooling fan or other parts to check
the temperature, as there is a risk of burns.
b)
The device may only be operated by trained, qualified
personnel who know the contents of the operating
manual.
c)
Never insert any objects into the device housing as
this may cause a malfunction.
d)
Do not control the frequency converter by turning
the contactor on or off, as this may cause damage.
2.7. BEFORE MAINTENANCE
Do not repair or maintain the device while it is connected to
the mains, as this may cause an electric shock:
a)
Before starting maintenance or repair of the controller,
wait at least 10 minutes after disconnecting from the
power supply, then check the absence of residual
voltage with a suitable tester. Capacitors remain
charged with high voltage for some time after power
is turned off and there is a risk of electric shock.
b)
People without professional training must not repair
or maintain the frequency converter.
c)
Confirm and adjust the parameters before starting
the operation. Connect the cables while the device is
turned off.

3. PRECAUTIONS
3.1. MOTOR INSULATION INSPECTION
When using the motor for the first time or when restarting
it after a long period of time, it is necessary to check the
motor insulation to prevent damage to the inverter. When
checking the insulation, separate the motor cable from the
frequency converter.
3.2. MOTOR THERMAL PROTECTION
If the selected motor does not match the rated power of
the frequency converter, especially if the motor rated power
is greater than that of the frequency converter, adjust the
motor protection parameter values or install a thermal relay
in front of the motor for protection.
3.3. OPERATION ABOVE MAINS FREQUENCY
If there is a need to operate above 50 Hz, the tolerance of
the mechanical device must be taken into account.
3.4. VIBRATIONS OF THE MECHANICAL DEVICE
A mechanical resonance point of the loading device
can occur at a certain output frequency of the converter.
A frequency hopping parameter can be set to avoid
resonance.
3.5. ENGINE HEAT AND NOISE
The output voltage of the frequency converter is a PWM
wave containing some harmonics, so the temperature, noise
and vibration of the motor will slightly increase compared to
operation at mains frequency.
3.6. VOLTAGE SENSITIVE PARTS OR POWER FACTOR
CORRECTING CAPACITOR LOCATED ON THE OUTPUT
SIDE.
The output of the frequency converter is a PMB wave. If
a power factor correcting capacitor or a voltage dependent
resistor is installed on the output side to prevent lightning
strikes, a temporary overcurrent or even damage to the
frequency converter can easily be caused.
3.7. SWITCHING DEVICES, SUCH AS A CONTACTOR
FOR THE INPUT AND OUTPUT TERMINALS OF THE
FREQUENCY CONVERTER.
If a contactor is installed between the mains and the input
terminal of the frequency converter, the contactor cannot
control the start and stop of the frequency converter. If the
contactor is to control the start and stop of the frequency
converter, the period between the use of the contactor
should not be less than one hour. Frequent charging and
discharging will shorten the life of the frequency converter
capacitor. If switching devices such as a contactor are
installed between the output terminal and the motor, keep
the frequency converter running without output, otherwise
the module may be easily damaged.
3.8. USAGE BEYOND THE RATED VOLTAGE
Do not use the frequency converter beyond its operating
voltage range, otherwise the equipment may be damaged.
If necessary, appropriate voltage-increasing or decreasing
equipment must be used to transform the voltage.
3.9. CHANGE OF THREE-PHASE INPUT INTO TWO-PHASE
INPUT
Do not change the three-phase frequency converter to
a two-phase one, as this may damage the equipment.
