scales feature tried-and-tested quality and meet the highest technical standards.
Please read these Operating Instructions carefully before using the product for the first
time, and keep them in a safe place so that you can consult them again if you need
further information.
1.
First use
Inserting the batteries:
Open the lid of the battery compartment on the bottom of the scales and insert the
supplied batteries (2 x 1.5 V AAA). Please observe the correct polarity of the batteries
(+/-).
Safety guideline s:
Ensure that no objects fall onto the scales; otherwise, the scales
may be damaged.
Use only a damp cloth to clean the scales. Never use solvents or
abrasive cleaning agents. Do not immerse in water. If the scale's
plastic parts come into contact with grease, spices, vinegar or
any other strongly spiced or coloured foods, please ensure you
clean them immediately. Keep citric acid away from the scales.
Press the push-button at the top of the handle to remove the bowl (e.g. for cleaning).
When replacing the bowl, wait for an audible click to signify it has been replaced
properly.
Note: Please note that only the weighing pan is dishwasher safe.
2. Operation
Switch ing on the scales:
Press the
|ZERO button to start the scales. The display initially shows all characters
and symbols; once the scales have stabilised, the display will show "0 g". The scales are
now ready to use.
Units of weight:
You can toggle between regional units of weight (metric/ imperial) by pressing the UNIT
button (g = gram/ lb:oz = pound ounce).

Pressing the MODE button will toggle between ml = milk / water/ oil or CUP flour (approx.
110 g or 250 ml). The display will show a ◄. Please ensure that the scales are set to the
unit of weight and display mode relevant to your region.
Weighing:
Switch on the scales. Place the material to be weighed in the bowl, once the display has
stabilised and shows "0 g". You will now be able to read the weight of the material on the
display.
Note: If a weight is shown on the display after switching on, simply press the button
|ZERO to reset the scales to "0".
Tare weight function:
Pressing the
|ZERO button will reset the scales to tare weight "0 g". Place the material
to be weighed into the bowl. Once the display has stabilised, press the
to reset the scales to "0 g" (bottom left in the display "T"). You can repeat this procedure
as often as you like until you reach the scales' weighing limit (5 kg). Once you remove your
weighed item(s), the total weight is shown as a minus value. Please ensure that the
weighing platform is not moved while the tare process is ongoing.
Switch ing the sca les off au tomatica lly or manua lly:
The scales switch off automatically if no weight change is registered within 30 seconds.
You can switch off the scales manually after use by pressing and holding the
button for about two seconds to conserve battery life.
3. Error messages
"Lo"
=
Battery low – Please replace the batteries with the appropriate
battery type (2 x 1.5 V AAA).
"Err"
=
Overload – The 5 kg max. load capacity has been exceeded.
Remove the object from the scales immediately to avoid damaging
the scales' load cell unit.
