1. Locate the two 14mm bumper bracket mounting bolts on the side of each truck frame. Remove only the rear bolt from each bumper
bracket and side frame. Do not put any pressure on bumper while bolts are removed.
2. Assemble a 1/2" carriage bolt #4 with a square hole plate #3 and the pull wire. Insert pull wire and fasteners into box frame through
access slot in side of each frame. Position bolts and square hole plates in frame so that bolts drop out through the existing holes in
bottom of each frame. Be sure square hole plates are positioned in frame so that they do not rest on top of each other.
See Illustration 2.
3. Carefully position the receiver assembly up against the bottom of each truck frame so that previously installed bolts will drop through
holes in receiver frame brackets. The vertical tab on each frame bracket will rest against the bumper bracket. Bolt loosely in place
on bottom of frame, as illustrated.
4. Align hole in vertical tab on receiver frame bracket with hole in vehicle bumper bracket and frame. Slide one of the 1/2" spacer
plates #2 between the hitch frame bracket and the bumper bracket. Align holes in receiver frame bracket, spacer plate and bumper
bracket. Loosely bolt frame bracket tab in place at these holes with 14mm bolts #6 and lockwashers #7 and 1900-00 9/16 Flatwasher #8
as illustrated.
5. Tighten all 1/2" bolts to 75 ft. lbs. torque and 14mm bolts to 85-95 ft. lbs. torque. Failure to tighten bolts as described may result in
fastener loss or failure.
