Read the instructions and keep them safe. If you pass the appliance on, pass on the instructions
too. Remove all packaging, but keep it till you know the appliance works.

important safeguards

Follow basic safety precautions, including:
1 This appliance must only be used by or under the supervision of a responsible adult.
2 The appliance is not a toy. Don't let children play with it.
3 Don't put the appliance in liquid.
4 Store the appliance away from direct sunlight, and, if possible, from fluorescent
light.
5 Don't use the appliance for any purpose other than those described in these instructions.
6 Don't use the appliance if it's damaged or malfunctions.
fitting batteries
7 Hold the appliance horizontally, with the 4 symbol the right way up.
8 You need to remove the left grinder.
9 Turn the appliance 90° anti-clockwise.
10 Turn the bottom grinder 6mm clockwise to unlock it.
11 Lower the grinder from the handle.
12 Turn the appliance through 180°.
13 Pull the grip, to remove the motor unit from the handle.
14 Fit 4 R6/LR6 (AA) batteries into the motor unit.
15 Don't use different kinds of batteries together (they should all be carbon-zinc, or all alkaline).
16 The polarities (+ –) are marked on the battery compartment.
17 Align the contact strip on the motor unit with the switch.
18 Replace the motor unit in the handle.
19 The end with the grip should sit about 6mm inside the handle.
20 Push the grinder back into the handle.
21 Turn the grinder 6mm anti-clockwise to lock it into place.

22 Hold the appliance vertically.
23 Turn the bottom grinder 6mm clockwise to unlock it.
24 Lower the grinder from the handle.
25 Fill the grinder with peppercorns, sea salt, dried herbs or spices.
26 Push the grinder back into the handle.
27 Turn the grinder 6mm anti-clockwise to lock it into place.
