on the vehicle's 4-flat connector will not support the adapter's
ground (-) functions on the 7-way connector.
8. Using a test probe to determine function, Connect the
remaining wires to the to the appropriate vehicle wires as
listed below using the sealable butt connectors or wire taps
provided crimping appropriately.
Red - Auxiliary or Backup Lights
Blue - Electric Brakes
Black - Positive Power (+)
Once crimped, if butt connectors are used, heat the
connectors to seal the wires using a heat gun.
9. Confirm correct operation with a test light or by using a
trailer.
10. Secure any loose wires using cable ties
(not provided).
