Brush Replacement
This is a brush-type motor. Depending on usage, may last up to 360 hours. The brushes can become worn and the
motor may no longer operate. If the pump is no longer operating when plugged in, the brushes may need to be
replaced. Included in this box is a spare set of brushes. If you need another set, please call customer service to order
replacement brushes. Brushes are not covered under the warranty, as it is a normal maintenance item.
To replace the brushes:
□
UNPLUG THE PUMP FROM THE POWER OUTLET.
□
Unscrew the brush caps. Using a small flathead screwdriver, pry open the retaining clip. Remove the brushes.
□
ALWAYS replace both brushes at the same time to prevent uneven motor operation.
□
Re-insert the new brushes in the same way that the old brushes were removed.
NOTE: A replacement set of brushes is included in
the box with this pump
